Once somebody makes a fake Brian Krebs account, I think they've gone too far.

I'm actually in support of this idea for the time being. It was funny when there were a couple of fake accounts mixed in with real users joining, but if you look at the flow of new users signing up, it's a constant stream of joker after joker.

If that's the case, then of course not. I'd prefer more actual people discover this site. I'm always a proponent of high-quality discussion. One person talking back and forth doesn't emulate that.

I'm asking if emery wants to stop new user registration for one week or if she suggests waiting one week to see if this trend of "joker" accounts continues.

I'm willing to try cancelling user registration for one week to see if that improves things around here.

I've taken this into consideration and you'll now notice that you can no longer create a new account on this forum… for one week. We'll see how it goes.
